How much do I need to retire?
A widely used guideline is the 4% rule: if you withdraw about 4% of your pot each year, it may last through retirement. So your target pot = desired annual income ÷ 0.04, or about 25 times your desired income. This calculator does not include the state pension; add that to your expected income or reduce the income you need from your pot. For personalised advice, speak to a regulated financial adviser.
