Derivative Online
Find the derivative at a point numerically. Enter f(x) and the value of x.
How it works
We approximate the derivative at a point using a numerical method: f'(x) ≈ (f(x+h) − f(x−h)) / (2h) for a small h. Enter an expression in x (e.g. x^2, sin(x), exp(x)) and the x value. Supported: +, -, *, /, ^, sin, cos, exp, log, sqrt.
