Markup Calculator
Calculate markup percentage from cost and selling price, or find the selling price from cost and desired markup %. Essential for pricing and retail.
What is Markup?
Markup is the amount added to the cost price to get the selling price, expressed as a percentage of cost. Formula: Markup % = (Selling Price − Cost) ÷ Cost × 100. Selling price from markup: Price = Cost × (1 + Markup % / 100).
Unlike margin (profit as % of selling price), markup is profit as % of cost. Use markup when setting prices from cost; use margin when analysing profit as a share of revenue.
